Please join us on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 8:30 PM to commemorate the Arabeen of Imam Husayn (as). Arba'een or "the fortieth day" is a Shia Muslim religious observance that occurs forty days after Ashura. Ashura commemorates the martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who was martyred on the 10th day of the month of Muharram or Ashura.

The guest speaker for the event is Dr. Naser Mahdavi, Professor of Islamic Studies and Mysticism in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Mahdavi has a Ph.D. in Islamic Mysticism and has taught at several Iranian universities. He has published several books in Farsi and is a well-known author and sought after speaker in Iran.
