ICCNC Stands in Solidarity with Sri Lankan People and Christians around the World

…whosoever slays a soul – unless it be for another soul or working corruption upon earth – it is as though he slew mankind together and whosoever saves the life of one, it is as though he saved the life of mankind together. Qur’an 5:32

With heavy hearts, we mourn the 350+ innocent Christian worshipers and others killed and 500 others injured, as a result of the senseless attacks on churches packed for Easter services and hotels in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Our prayers, solidarity, and support are with the survivors, families, and the Colombo’s Catholic community. These are indeed difficult and dangerous times for the people of faith around the world impacted by these types of cowardly, senseless, and vicious acts of terrorism.

May God Almighty bless the souls of the deceased, grant patience and strength to their families and friends, and help the community cope with this immense tragedy.
