Ramadan of 1442 A.H. Mubarak! Tuesday, April 13th is First Day of Ramadan

As-salamu 'alaykum, with Greetings of Peace,

The new crescent moon was sighted with the naked eyes at sunset tonight, Monday, April 12, 2021, in the San Diego area; therefore, tomorrow, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, will be the first day of Ramadan, 1442 A.H. 

We wish you and your family the best in this blessed month. Ramadan Mubarak!

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

“Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you,

that you may become mindful of God”. Quran 2:183

Ramadan Mubarak! The month of fasting has come.

O you who're on the fasting path, blessed be all your fasting.

I climbed up on top of the roof to see the new moon.

I've been impatiently waiting heart and soul to start fasting. (Rumi)

The arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan is upon us; therefore, the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers of the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California wish you and your family a very blessed Ramadan. We also hope you have taken advantage of the various opportunities to vaccinates against COVID-19 and protect yourself, your loved ones, and society from it. We are hoping to open up our doors to all once Northern California reaches herd immunity. Meanwhile, we are preparing special nightly programs for Ramadan and come to you via Zoom and YouTube. We hope that you can join us for our special Ramadan programs. 

Last year during the pandemic, with your financial assistance, we provided over 1000 meals to homeless individuals in the City of Oakland and offered financial aid, and distributed over two thousand pounds of groceries to over thirty families in the Bay Area. Please support us financially so we can continue to assist families in need during these challenging times.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

ای اهل ایمان! روزه بر شما مقرّر و لازم شده، همان گونه که بر پیشینیان شما مقرّر و لازم شد، تا پرهیزکار شوید.

مبارک باد آمد ماه روزه

رهت خوش باد ای همراه روزه

شدم بر بام ته مه را ببینم 

که بودم من به جان دلخواه روزه

هيّئت مديره، كاركنان و داوطلبين مركز اسلامى و فرهنگى شمال كاليفرنيا، پيشاپيش حلول ماه مبارک رمضان، بهار قرآن، ماه عبادتهای عاشقانه، نیایشهای عارفانه بندگی خالصانه و شکستن بت‌های نفس را به شماعزيزان  تبریک عرض میکنند.  اميد است كه از فرصت های فراهم شده استفاده نموده و خود را با واکسن کرونا از بیماری مصون نموده اید.  انشألله  بعد از مصونیت اکثریت جمعیت کالیفرنیا درهای این مرکز بسوی شما مشتاقان برای برگزاری جلسات باز خواهد شد.  تا اطلاع ثانوی، براي برنامه های ویژه هر شب ماه مبارک رمضان شده، از طریق شبکه زوم و یوتوب به خانه های شما عزیزان خواهیم آمد.  امید است با حضور خود وخانواده محترمتان دراین  برنامه هاى ويژه اين ماه بصورت مجازی، گرمى بيشترى به محفل ما بخشيده و ما را در اين سفرعرفانى ومعنوي همراهى كنيد. 

 سال گذشته با كمكهاى مالى شماعزيزان در ماه مبارك برای مبارزه با  گرسنگى در شرایط پاندمیک در مناطق محروم شهر اوكلند ،برای بيش از هزارنفراز بی خانمانان شهر اوکلند شام آماده و پخش شد، به بیش از ۳۰ خانواده در مضیقه کمکهای مالی صورت گرفت و بالغ بر هزار پوند آذوقه در بین مستمندان توزیع گردید.  امید است با همکارهای مالی خویش مشوق و شریک  ما را در این امور خیریه شوید.  همانطورى كه مطلع ميباشيد، كمك هاى مالى  شما عزيزان تنها پشتوانه بقاء اين مركز است، لطفآ با رجوع به وبسایت مرکز کمک های مالی خود را ارسال نمایید.
