ICCNC’s New Governance

In February 2024, the ICCNC Board of Directors (BOD) unanimously approved a new bylaws and governance structure. The BOD worked diligently for over a year to draft the bylaws, seeking input from key community members throughout the process. After incorporating their feedback and obtaining a legal review, the new bylaws were finalized and are now available on the ICCNC website.

Under the new structure, ICCNC is governed by a Board of Trustees (BOT) and a BOD. The BOT selects the BOD, who oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization. The BOT, in collaboration with the BOD and community members, develops long-term strategic goals. The initial BOT members included the organization's founders, current BOD members, and community representatives who met the qualifications outlined in the bylaws.

The newly formed BOT held its inaugural meeting on May 11, 2024, and immediately began the process of electing a new BOD and developing a strategic plan for ICCNC. To facilitate this process, ICCNC hired a consultant in July 2024. The consultant and ICCNC will conduct community surveys in the coming months to gather valuable input for the Center's strategic plan, Insha’Allah.
