Devastating Earthquakes in the Western provinces of Iran

ICCNC: The ICCNC Board of Directors has issued a statement conveying sympathy for the victims of the earthquake in the west of Iran. Read the text of the statement below.

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Human beings are members of a whole, 

In the creation of one essence and soul.

If one member is afflicted with pain, 

Other members uneasy will remain.

If you have no sympathy for human pain, 

The name of human you cannot retain

Heartbreaking images of the earthquake damages and loss of human lives in the western provinces of Iran is a big reminder to us all, about the vulnerability of human life when it comes to natural disasters. We at the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California, are deeply saddened by the extent of damages and loss of lives by this earthquake. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of all those who lost their precious lives or were injured. We are grateful for those of you who offered financial assistance for the survivors. We are contacting the authorities here in the USA, to get the permission to collect and transfer funds to the victims. Many thanks for all offers and we will keep you posted.
