ICCNC:An Exhibition of Ceramics and CalligraphyBy two award-winning artists, Arabic-Persian calligrapher Arash Shirinbab and ceramicist Forrest Lesch-Middelton Where: Gallery and Art & Lecture Room of ICCNC at 1433 Madison St., Oakland, CA 94612 Open to public on Fridays and Saturdays, 1 – 5 p.m. from October 28 to November 24 Private visits outside the gallery hours are possible by contacting containandserve@gmail.com or calling Arash at 510-283-4518. Free and open to the public. All are welcome.

Artworks are for sale and the proceeds will help the artists to continue working together and establish a sustainable collaboration. “To Contain and to Serve” is a collaborating between Arash Shirinbab and Forrest Lesch-Middelton, which resulted in a series of calligraphy-inscribed ceramic tiles, vessels, and installations revolving around the interplay of hospitality, morality and justice in contemporary cultural and media landscapes.
