The Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California (ICCNC) is a vibrant non-profit organization serving the Bay Area's Muslim community for decades. Operating a 38,000 sq. ft. facility in Oakland, ICCNC is a cornerstone for faith, education, social services, arts, and culture. We provide weekly Friday prayers, feed 300+ families through our food pantry, support the unhoused community, and host youth, family, and interfaith programming. ICCNC is implementing a bold Strategic Plan that envisions leadership transition, program expansion, and enhanced community impact.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone of ICCNC. This is a senior, hands-on role that oversees day-to-day operations across facilities management, social service programs, venue rentals, community programming, HR, and finance administration. The ideal candidate is a community-rooted professional who brings operational excellence, cultural competence, and a genuine commitment to service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage ICCNC's facility including maintenance, vendors, and capital improvements

  • Develop and execute venue rental strategy for weddings, events, and community gatherings

  • Oversee social service programs: weekly food pantry, meals for unhoused, clothing drives

  • Support community programming including youth, family, religious, and cultural initiatives

  • Manage budgets, compliance, policies, and operational systems

  • Recruit, train, and coordinate staff and volunteers; foster a culture of accountability and inclusion

  • Support fundraising campaigns, grant applications, and revenue generation efforts

    WHO YOU ARE

  • 3+ years of operations, program management, or organizational management experience

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, compliance, and multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Experience managing staff and/or volunteers

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Mission-driven with passion for community service and ICCNC's values

  • Comfortable working flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed

    Preferred: Non-profit experience, facility/venue management, Farsi proficiency, familiarity with Muslim or faith-based communities
